Transmitter Park Volunteer Day

Transmitter Park, Volunteering

Our Greenpoint Parks Stewardship Program in Transmitter kicks off at 10 am on Saturday, July 23, in the garden by the Greenpoint Avenue entrance.

Volunteers will have an opportunity to walk through the garden to learn about the native, common, and invasive plants found in the garden, and then apply their new skills and knowledge weeding, clipping, and watering. Please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit dirty. Sunscreen and hats are recommended. Gloves and tools will be provided.

Please bring your own water bottle – we’ll have a cooler for you to fill up from. We’ll also have coffee and snacks for all volunteers.

This event is free, and all ages are welcome.

The Greenpoint Parks Stewardship program is funded in part by the Greenpoint Community Environmental Fund.
